What I Inspect

As your Michigan home inspector, I will conduct a thorough inspection of your home, inside and out. I highly encourage you to come along and watch as I inspect your new Michigan home. This is an excellent time for you to ask questions, observe the areas of concern and learn where utility shut off valves are located in the event of an emergency. In addition, you can learn maintenance tips, that will help preserve your new home for many years to come.

As a certified master inspector, I have the knowledge and expertise to provide you with a thorough and professional, non-intrusive, visual inspection of your home, from roof to foundation.

Outside the home, I will check the exterior walls, roof, driveway, deck, etc., then I will move inside to examine the walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows. The heating, air-conditioning,plumbing, and electrical systems will all be examined to ensure that they function as intended. Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms receive a thorough check, along with the attic and basement or crawl space.

Here are some of the many items I'll be looking at during your home inspection:

Here is what our customers have to say about Great Lakes Home & Property Inspections:

I thought the inspection went very well. I learned some important things about the property that helped me make my purchasing decision. Mike uncovered issues that my untrained eye would never have noticed.
