Standards of PracticeThe state of Michigan does not regulate or oversee the home inspection industry. You need to look for an inspector that is a member in good standing in one of the national organizations. These memberships require members to adhere to strict standards of practice and code of ethics. We at Great Lakes Home & Property Inspections are proud members of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI). As a member, I am required to comply with the most rigorous testing and continued education of any other organization.
